Why Attend

Event backdrop

The ability to react to events across the globe would not be possible without the work of the tanker. Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) remains central to an Air Force’s ability to project power. However, military tankers are amongst the oldest aircraft in regular use, and despite current procurement programmes they will be remain in service for the foreseeable future.

Current tanker procurement programmes including the US Air Force’s KC-X programme, the FSTA project for the RAF and numerous others across Europe and around the world are designed to provide increased flexibility to refuelling capability from tanker assets. Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) capability will strengthen the link between AAR and Air Transport (AT).

Significant budgets are being put towards ensuring the future of Air to Air Refuelling and the agenda for Air Tankers and Aerial Refuelling is designed to provide expert insight and being together the AAR community to debate the future of Air to Air Refuelling.
